eLTER Science Conference 2025 announces its programme

08 April 2025

The official programme for the first eLTER Science Conference is now live! From 23rd to 27th June in Tampere, Finland, over 300 participants will meet to exchange knowledge, tools, and ideas under the motto “Toward a whole-system approach to ecosystem science”.

Registration is open until 25 April!

The forum offers a rich programme aimed at advancing our understanding of ecosystems within a pan-European network: the scientific programme includes 22 sessions, 13 workshops, 140+ oral presentations, 120+ posters. Scientific sessions will discuss topics like ecosystem restoration, novel technologies in environmental monitoring, and integrated observations in the atmosphere-biosphere continuum. Policy-relevant sessions include carbon farming and studying the sustainability of globally embedded socio-ecological systems.

The conference will also feature a number of interactive workshops on data, arts, and co-design of services. The workshops are open for all registered participants.

The eLTER Science conference social programme is designed to enable informal exchange and give participants a broader perspective on the kind of science eLTER supports. Field excursion to a choice of four long-term observation sites on Monday 23 June 2025 will allow attendees to witness first-class science on location while enjoying the beauty of northern nature at peak blossom.

Registration deadline: 25 April 2025.
