One Ecosystem welcomes Paulo Pereira as subject editor

A new subject editor, Paulo Pereira, is joining the One Ecosystem team.

Paulo Pereira is a globally recognised researcher focused on ecosystem services, land degradation, nature-based solutions and fire impacts on the ecosystems. He has authored or co-authored over 600 articles and book chapters, taken part in talks and communications in conferences, and edited 6 books. In 2020, he received the award of a highly cited researcher by Clarivate Analytics. In 2021 and 2022, he was also awarded as one of the most highly cited and influential researchers in the world (top 2%) in the field of Environmental Sciences by Elsevier/Stanford University. Paulo Pereira is full professor at Mykolas Romeris University (Lithuania), guest professor at the Beijing Normal University (China), and University of La Frontera (Chile). He has received internationally recognised awards, such as the Soil System Sciences Division Outstanding Young Scientist Award.

I am very happy to join this team, because I believe together we can improve One Ecosystem‘s visibility and global impact,“ he says after joining the journal‘s editorial team.
